Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. Her most well-known character is Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series. As well as playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward as well, she was a part of The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and fell in adore with acting when she was in the Preparatory School. At the end of the 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. She went to Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna performed in Chicago's theater for many years prior to trying out for film and TV parts. In 1992, Anna got her first major character in the role of Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. She continued to appear as an actor in few TV shows and films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue through the mid 90's when she was cast in a role that she reprised as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons on Deadwood's season two. She also starred in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully was the Deadwood film and a few other films were also starring her. Gunn was also on the stage starring in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn also played in a 4-part audio-play series known as "Numbered days". Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships of Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and final break-up echoes the end of Walter White's story.
